Renowned Ghanaian media personality Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) has cautioned Ghanaians as they prepare to head to the polls for the 2024 general elections on December 7.
A vocal critic of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, KSM issued a stern warning about the potential consequences of electing Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the next president.
KSM did not hold back in his critique, asserting that a Bawumia presidency would perpetuate the challenges facing the nation. “If this election is free, fair, and transparent, and Ghanaians choose Bawumia as their man, I promise you, you will see more. You will see more arrogance, more impunity, and more corruption, which have plagued us over the past eight years,” he stated.
He further stressed that those who vote for such an outcome would have to live with the consequences. “And your mouths will be sealed, so you won’t be able to say anything,” he added, suggesting that citizens would lose the moral right to complain if the hardships worsen under a Bawumia-led government.
KSM passionately appealed for a change in leadership, emphasizing the urgent need to address the country’s current state. “The country has been muddied. The country has been deprived. The country needs to be rescued,” he lamented.
As the elections draw closer, KSM’s remarks add to the growing national discourse about leadership and the direction Ghanaians want for the country in the years ahead.
