Adum Bawuah, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made shocking revelations about the late Deputy Finance Minister, John Kumah, claiming that the minister had $30 million in his account at the time of his death.
In an interview on TOP FM, Bawuah expressed his dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs in the country and criticized members of his own party.
He alleged that while members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are corrupt, NPP members are “100 times corrupt” and are actively stealing from the state.
Mr Bawuah went on to claim that upon John Kumah’s death, an investigation into his finances revealed the staggering amount of $30 million in his account.
He questioned how Dr Kumah could have amassed such wealth after just three years of working as a deputy minister.
John Ampontuah Kumah, who served as the Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu, passed away a few months ago.
His burial service, held on May 18, was a solemn occasion attended by government officials, family members, and constituents who praised him for his contributions to the Ejisu Constituency.
During the service, Kumah’s widow, Lilian Kumah, paid tribute to her late husband, describing him as her “everything.”
