Legal practitioner and politician Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe has issued a striking admonition to members of the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) Committee, urging them to stay true to their mission of retrieving misappropriated public funds while maintaining fairness and impartiality.
Speaking on TV3’s The Key Points in an interview monitored by InsiderGH.com, Edudzi stressed that the committee’s purpose is not to unjustly target individuals but to uphold justice where wrongdoing is evident.
“The committee’s work is not about witch-hunting,” Edudzi remarked. “But if there are witches, hunt them.”
The ORAL Committee, tasked with reclaiming state funds and assets lost through corruption or mismanagement, has become a focal point of public discourse. Critics have raised concerns about potential political motivations behind its operations, but Edudzi called on the committee to focus squarely on its mandate without fear or favor.
According to hm, the committee’s duty is clear: tofind evidence for the recovery of what belongs to the people of Ghana. However, it must operate with transparency, neutrality, and integrity, he added.
