Former Ambassador and High Commissioner to Egypt and Saudi Arabia, H.E Alhaji Said Sinare, popularly known as the “Zongo President,” joined the Akatsi South chapter of the NDC for a health walk aimed at rejuvenating the party’s base for the 2024 general elections.
Addressing hundreds of participants on Saturday, 31st August, 2024, H.E Alhaji Said Sinare appealed to Akatsi South residents to rally behind their Member of Parliament, Hon. Bernard Ahiafor. He emphasized that H.E John Dramani Mahama is the only person who can rescue Ghanaians from the current challenges recklessly created by the inept leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia tagged in post led Economic Management team.
As Alhaji Sinare addressed the sea of enthusiastic participants, his words dripped with urgency and conviction as he expressed concerns about the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Madam Jean Mensah, being a threat to Ghana’s democracy, alleging she is in collusion with the ruling government to rig the 2024 elections.
The light-skinned Rawlings look-alike politician outspokenly warned that the NDC will fiercely defend the people’s will at the polls and encouraged residents to voluntarily police polling stations and collation centers. He emphasized that the problems created by the Economic Management Team led by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia are not wearing political colors for that matter everyone should be an Evangelist for the blueprints of H.E John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress.
In a crunch meeting with Assembly Members of the Akatsi South Municipal Assembly, the Party’s former National Vice Chairman and the current National Chairman of the Zongo Caucus Working Committee of the NDC reiterated the party’s commitment to paying Assemblymembers an allowance.
Addressing the concerns raised by the Assemblymembers of the area, Alhaji Said Sinare charged them to take ownership of the elections in their electoral areas, put aside past strife, and work towards the party’s parliamentary and presidential candidates’ victory on December 7th.
Describing the government of President Nana Addo Danqua Akuffo Addo and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia led NPP administration as wicked and heartless, the former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central also appealed to the Akatsi South Municipal Assembly members to also be the mouthpiece of NDC’s resetting Ghana Manifesto in their electoral areas, ensuring a resounding victory for H.E John Dramani Mahama and Hon. Bernard Ahiafor at December 7th, 2024 polls.
