Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, has criticized Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, accusing him of discarding the policies he announced on February 7, 2024, and imitating the policies of Mahama.
The private legal practitioner expressed that Dr. Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, seems to have lost direction and vision.
In a Facebook post, she claimed the Vice President has copied 11 policies and initiatives previously declared by the former president.
“Bawumia has no message and certainly lacks new ideas. After panting over the presentation of his so called vision for Ghana statement, he appears to have abandoned his vision statement and appears to be intentionally stealing from John Mahama’s manifesto,” she wrote.
Her comments were in response to Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to implementing a free tertiary education policy for all persons with disabilities. The Vice President has promised that, under his leadership, all PWDs will receive free tertiary education.
However, Madam Mogtari contends that this policy, along with about 10 others claimed by the NPP candidate, were initially introduced by Mahama.
Labeling him as ‘Bawumliar,’ she suggested that Ghanaians should not support him in the elections.
