News reaching the Political Desk of InsiderGH.com indicates that opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) seeks to entirely change its Leadership in Parliament.
According to a letter addressed to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin and signed by the General Secretary of the party, Hon. Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson will take over from Hon. Haruna Iddrisu as Minority leader.
Hon. Kofi Armah Bua takes over from Hon. James Klutsey Avedzi as Deputy Minority leader, Hon. Kwame Agbodza takes over from Hon. Muntaka as the Minority Chief Whip.
Some NDC legislators who are unhappy with the situation are already describing the development as a “coup d’etat”.
However, the reason behind this new changes is not known at the time of filing this report.
