In contrast, Brighton and Hive Albion defender Tariq Lamptey, who has had an impressive start to the season in England, has earned his place back in the squad. Lamptey overcame a challenging season last year, enduring nearly six months on the sidelines due to injuries.
Additionally, the deputy captain, Thomas Teye Partey, who missed the previous qualifier against Central African Republic due to injury, is back in contention.
The Black Stars are set to face Mexico at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on Saturday, October 14, followed by a clash against the United States of America on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee.
