A press release from DataBank sighted by InsiderGH.com indicates that all DataBank offices nationwide will be closed effective tomorrow, December 22, 2022.
According to them, the decision to close all their offices nationwide is necessitated by the need to protect staff of the bank who are being physically and verbally abused by customers.
However. while their offices will be physically closed, the Bank will continue to serve customers and process transactions remotely, and all their digital channels will remain open just as they did during Covid.
“Many of our clients have tried to be patient with us as we wait for the Government to provide liquidity. For this, we are extremely grateful. However, there are several clients who have felt the need to abuse our staff physically and verbally, and also threaten their lives as well as their families. As such, we have no choice but to move to a work-from-home option,” the statement revealed.
