The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Kwetey, has issued a strong warning, emphasizing that those involved in electoral malpractices will face the consequences after January 7, 2025.
In a brief but pointed post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Fifi Kwetey signaled that justice would be served after the anticipated transfer of power on January 7, 2025 when H. E. John Dramani Mahama is sworn into office.
“Electoral crimes have no expiry date. After January 7, the time of reckoning will come,” he wrote.
The statement follows the ongoing re-collation of election results by the Electoral Commission (EC) for nine disputed parliamentary constituencies.
To date, the EC has declared results in seven constituencies, all favoring the New Patriotic Party (NPP). These include Nsawam Adoagyiri, Techiman South, Ahafo Ano North, Ahafo Ano South West, Obuasi East, Okaikwei Central, and Tema Central.
