Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Nkawkaw constituency, Hon. Frederick Somuah Obeng has successfully filed nominations to contest the upcoming Nkawkaw NDC Parliamentary primaries.
According to him, he is poised to lead the party to victory in the constituency in the 2024 elections.
Speaking to Adom TV after submitting his nomination forms, Hon. Somuah Obeng urged the constituents to choose competence over political affiliation and reward the NDC for the good works they have done for the people of Kwahu.
Addressing the state of the Nkawkaw stadium, he declared his intention to renovate the Nkawkaw sports stadium in his first two years in office.
He further assured his constituent that when given the mandate to serve Nkawkaw as their Member of Parliament, he will ensure massive investment in the promotion of sports and education as a tool for harnessing the skills of the youth in the area.
On his plans for the constituency, he pledged to develop the constituency and complete any relevant but abandoned project in the constituency.
He also urged the constituents to believe in the youth as they are the cornerstone of development for every country.
He filed for nominations unopposed as the party felt he is the right man to lead them into the 2024 parliamentary elections for the constituency.
As the son of the former MCE of the Kwahu West municipality, Hon. Prof. Alex Somuah Obeng who worked under the Mills and Mahama administration, Frederick has taken a similar path as he has shown charisma and exhibited his leadership capabilities by spearheading the activities of the party in Nkawkaw constituency and the country, serving as the Vice Chairman of the NDC culminating from a rise through the grassroots of the party.
He seeks to unseat NPP in the Nkawkaw constituency as the seat has been predominantly dominated by NPP.
