Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency in the Central Region, Mrs Ophilia Mansah Hayford, has praised herself for performing better than her late husband.
According to the Mfantseman MP, she has completed all the projects started by her late husband and many other projects she has initiated.
Mrs Ophilia Mansah Hayford replaced her late husband Ekow Quansah Hayford after the latter was reported shot by some armed persons on October 9, 2020. She has been in Parliament ever since.
In a move to thank God for the four years in Parliament so far, Mrs Ophilia Mansah Hayford joined scores of worshipers on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Abandzi-Ahanso-Wodzi, one of the electoral areas among the 36 Electoral areas within the Mfantseman constituency.
Speaking to Metro TV, the MP said “I have done a lot of projects. I have completed the ones started by my late husband and I can say I have done better than him”
Mrs Ophilia Mansah Hayford noted that through her lobbying skills, she has been able to complete projects that brought development to the Mfantseman constituency.
The MP has embarked on a ‘thank you’ tour of the constituency, visiting both churches and mosques, to thank the delegates and all well-wishers for her victory during the recently held parliamentary primaries.
“I always thank God, even when my late husband was alive. It is something I do always. So, my presence here is to thank everyone for their support.”
Mrs. Ophilia Mansah Hayford also called on her constituents to rejoice as she has been nominated as the next Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation.
