Augustina Ama Tabua Kwofie, a National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate hopeful in the Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency of the Western Region has sent a goodwill message to her constituents as the nation marks 66 years of independence from colonial rule.
According to her, it is very unfortunate that after 66 years of independence, the nation is still on its knees.
She noted that in this era of the ruling NPP, the country has not been free from the chains of anguish as evidenced in its poor state of the economy, visionless leadership, increasing insecurity and petty partisan politics.
“It is very unfortunate that we still bear our chains of anguish at this period of our independence as evident in the total collapse of the economy, security, leadership, and infrastructure as well as massive looting, and corruption, among others,” she stated.
She added that “at this period, the citizens are disoriented, and frustration has remained the order of the day.”
However, she has urged Ghanaians, especially the people of Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency not to give up on the country because the next NDC administration will restore their hopes and more importantly rebuild the country.”
She stressed on the fact that the next NDC administration will work on the economy and ensure that all the difficulties confronting the nation today become a thing of the past.
When asked about her plans for the constituency, she stated that when given the mandate, she will ensure that Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency gets the necessary development it so much deserves.
According to her, plans are also far advanced to position the constituency for entrepreneurship drives aimed at eradicating poverty and unemployment throughout the Constituency.
She also urged the Akufo-Addo-led NPP administration to use this 66th Independence anniversary to have a sober reflection and rethink on how to solve the numerous problems they have led the country into.
