The Volta Regional Communications Officer (VRCO), Kafui Agbleze, has reiterated the need for and the call for NDC’s discerning Delegates to give John Mahama a 100% endorsement at the polls in the forthcoming May 13th Presidential Primaries.
According to the astute party communicator, who was speaking at a Youth Orientation Workshop for Party faithfuls in the Anlo Constituency, H.E. John Mahama is uniquely and timeously placed to govern this country once again. This, to him, is imperative because Ghana, now more than ever, needs an experienced, corruptless, patriotic and development-oriented hand to rescue and rebuild a country that has deliberately and callously been driven into a bottomless abyss by a group of nation wreckers who hoodwinked Ghanaians into voting for them in 2016.
The RCO strongly believes that John Mahama, on his return to the helm of affairs, will follow the footsteps of Former President Stephen Grover Cleveland, who served as the 22nd and later 24th President of the United States, and the Brazilian Leader Lula da Silva, the 39th and current President. The two had the unique opportunity of returning to govern their countries, and John Mahama will certainly do same come December 2024.
The RCO also used the opportunity to admonish the Youth to work assiduously for a deserving victory in the 2024 General Elections since the statistics show that a lot would have to be done to save Ghana.
The records show that 54,434 were the total number of people who registered in Anlo but a total of 44,160 valid votes were obtained in the 2020 Elections, with 958 rejected ballots. This means a whooping 10,274 eligible voters on the register did not come out to vote.
This regrettable phenomenon, according to Mr. Agbleze, cuts across the Region, a recurrently worrying situation where rejected ballots are more than the total valid votes of three constituencies in the Volta Region.
The Youth Orientation Program was well attended by the National Youth Organizer and his Deputies as well as the Volta Regional Secretary, Regional Youth Organizer, the two Regional Vice Chairmen, Deputy Regional Treasurer and some Constituency Executives.
Also in attendance were the Anlo Parliamentary Candidate Aspirants, Hon. Richard Kwame Sefe, Joseph Agbeko Kpogo and Amelia Amedela Amemate.
