Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region are in for a treat courtesy of flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
A viral video sighted by InsiderGH.com, reveals the arrival of three trucks loaded with bags of rice at Kennedy Agyapong’s Ashanti Regional campaign office.
The man who identified himself as Nana Akufo Addo can be heard narrating in the video, “This is for us in the Ashanti Region, three trucks. All the trucks you see are filled with rice. This is the campaign office of Honourable Kennedy Agyapong in the Ashanti Region where we are offloading the rice.”
Kennedy Agyapong, a contender in the NPP’s flagbearer race, secured the second position in the party’s special delegates election on August 26, 2023, with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia taking the top spot.
This election featured ten contenders and was designed to reduce the number of flagbearer hopefuls to five in preparation for the party’s main national delegates congress.
On November 4, 2023, the NPP is slated to hold its national delegates congress to officially select a flagbearer for the upcoming 2024 elections.
