Ernest Yaw Anim, the candidate of the ruling the New Patriotic Party (NPP), emerged victorious in the Kumawu by-elections, securing a total of 15,264 votes.
His victory was marked by a significant margin, as he outperformed his closest rival, Kwesi Amankwah of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who garnered 3,723 votes.
Two independent candidates also contested the election, but they were unable to match the support received by the NPP and NDC candidates.
One of the independent candidates, Kwaku Duah (1), received 2,478 votes, while the other Kwaku Duah secured 62 votes.
