The National Chairman of the Zongo Caucus Working Committee of the National Democratic Congress, H.E Alhaji Said Sinare, described the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a nonexistent political party due to the reckless governance of President Nana Addo Danqua Akuffo Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. According to him, the NPP is disorganized and unfit to win the 2024 general elections after winning the last elections with lies.
Alhaji Said Sinare declared that the National Democratic Congress is prepared to win the 18 parliamentary seats in the Volta Region in the upcoming 2024 elections. He stated that the party is emotionally, physically, and spiritually prepared to achieve this goal.
The former Ambassador to Egypt and Saudi Arabia expressed confidence that his party would win all seats in the Volta Region because they have fielded candidates who genuinely care for the people of the region. He cautioned the people of Hohoe, Ketu South, and Kpando Zongo against voting for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections due to religious affiliations. He believes that electing Dr. Bawumia would deepen the misery, poverty, and hunger in the country.
Alhaji Said Sinare mentioned that the Zongos, known for businesses, would greatly benefit from the 24-hour economy policy of the Mahama government, and the big push project would also be beneficial to the people of the Volta Region.
He also emphasized that President Mahama’s “Mahama Cares” initiative would be a game-changer for the ages and promised massive job opportunities for Zongo youths, especially in the security services.
Sinare further highlighted the plans of the next government under President John Dramani Mahama, which include building an Islamic University, Islamic Senior High Schools, providing scholarships to needy individuals, constructing an ultramodern Aflao Market, roads, and completing all abandoned projects in the region.
Addressing the Muslims in Gakli in the Ketu South constituency, Alhaji Said Sinare stated that the next Mahama government would work to stabilize the dollar and CFA rates, as he criticized Dr. Bawumia for his handling of the economy.
The Zongo President of the opposition National Democratic Congress also urged the people of Hohoe, Ketu South, Kpando, South Dayi, and North Tongu to vote for Mr. John Dramani Mahama, emphasizing that the ruling New Patriotic Party was primarily interested in misappropriating state funds for personal gains rather than serving the people of Ghana.
He accused Dr. Bawumia of forsaking the ideals of governance, ignoring the cries of the common man in the Zongos, and pursuing his own ambitions. According to him, Ghana has been plunged into suffering under Bawumia’s leadership, sowing seeds of poverty, despair, and insecurity, and disenfranchising the people of Zongo from participating in Hajj due to unreasonably high Hajj fares.
The former National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, H.E Alhaji Said Sinare who ended his one-week tour of the Volta Region in North Tongu constituency on Friday at a mini rally added that, the Muslim community across the length and breadth of the country has endured continual discrimination, intimidation, and violence since the commencement of the Nana Addo Danqua/ Dr. Bawumia led NPP government.
The Rawlings look-alike politician added that since 2017, incidents of violence against Muslims have increased in prevalence, with a succession of flashpoints in which attackers and others responsible for hate speech have enjoyed impunity for their activities under Nana Addo and his Dr. Bawumia-led NPP government.
He pledged that, the next government of President John Dramani Mahama will be a government of equity which will make sure Muslims enjoy their freedoms.
He also pledged massive registration of Ecowas card and passport if Mahama returns to the Seats of government.
