This follows the Electoral Commission’s (EC) balloting exercise held on September 20, 2023.
In a Facebook post, Mahama shared his positive outlook on the number eight, describing it as a symbol of hope and change for the NDC as the nation heads to the polls on December 7, 2024.
“I am excited that we picked No. 8 on the ballot for the upcoming presidential elections. Let’s make this a number of hope and change on December 7,” Mahama wrote, encouraging supporters to embrace the significance of the position.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, also chimed in with his own endorsement of the number.
Bagbin took to social media, stating, “8 is excellent. Don’t break it. Choose it!” His comment appeared to signal strong support for the party and its positioning ahead of the elections.
