Former NDC Deputy Women’s Organiser aspirants of the Sunyani West Constituency, Irene Amankwa Karikari has reacted to several posts on Facebook and Twitter referring to her as the newly wedded wife of Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communication Officer of the NDC.
This comes after news went viral about the NDC National Communication Officer’s traditional wedding.
According to her, several people have since been tagging her with congratulatory messages with the mistaken belief that she is Sammy Gyamfi’s newly wedded wife.
“You people should stop tagging me la 😆😆😆.I’m not the one Sammy Gyamfi got married to 🤣🤣🤣🤣,” she posted on Facebook.
Checks by InsiderGH.com reveals that the lady Sammy Gyamfi got married to [Irene Amankwa] is different from Irene Amankwa Karikari who is the former Women’s Organiser aspirants of the NDC in Sunyani West.
Sammy’s marriage to his longtime girlfriend took place on Wednesday at Chain Homes in TseAdo with only some few invited friends and guests in attendance.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, newly elected National Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Former Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah and other dignitaries are expected to grace the event.
The marriage was scheduled to take place in November 2022 but was rescheduled due to the re-election campaing of the groom to be retained as the National Communication Officer of the NDC.
