“The voter’s ID Card is your weapon for the Dec. 7th, 2024 independence struggle” – James Gunu tells first-time voters

In a compelling message to inspire and mobilize first-time voters, Hon. James Gunu, the esteemed Volta Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), emphasized the pivotal role of the voter’s ID card in the forthcoming December 7, 2024, elections, likening it to a weapon for a renewed struggle for independence.

This impassioned plea by Mr. Gunu underscored the significance of December 7th as a day for Ghanaians to unite, casting their votes to steer the nation towards a brighter future by bringing about a change in leadership.

This powerful message was delivered during a heartfelt celebration of Mr. Gunu’s birthday on September 21, 2023. The event, which unfolded in the vibrant ambiance of the DVLA/COCOBOD yard in Hohoe, was characterized by its brevity and a burst of colors. Numerous first-time voters came together to celebrate the dedicated Regional Secretary, offering their warm support and applause.

Addressing the first-time voters, Mr. Gunu fervently encouraged them to set aside time from their busy schedules to register and acquire their voter identification cards.

He explained the card’s indispensable significance, reminding them that it serves as the cornerstone of their civic duty, granting them the privilege to participate in the crucial 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Beside Mr. Gunu stood the Hohoe Constituency Chairman, who extended heartfelt appreciation for the Regional Secretary’s unwavering commitment to both the party and the nation over the years.

He highlighted the profound impact of Mr. Gunu’s presence within the Constituency and the broader party, expressing sincere gratitude for his decision to commemorate his special day with the first-time voters of the Hohoe constituency.

Adding his voice to the chorus of gratitude, Mr. Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, the NDC’s Parliamentary candidate for the Hohoe constituency, commended Mr. Gunu for his unwavering dedication to the party’s growth and encouraged him to persist in his tireless pursuit of progress.

As Mr. Gunu continues to inspire and engage with the youth and voters of the Hohoe constituency, his message serves as a poignant reminder of the transformative power held by each voter in shaping the nation’s destiny. The upcoming 2024 elections represent an opportunity for Ghanaians to exercise their democratic rights, fostering a path toward a brighter and more prosperous future.
