The Transition Team, tasked with overseeing the handover of government operations, received reports from its various subcommittees at a meeting on Friday, December 27, 2024.
The meeting, which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre, is part of measures to ensure a smooth and efficient transfer of power and responsibilities across different governance sectors.
In a statement issued by the team’s spokespersons, Fatimatu Abubakar and Felix Kwakye Ofosu, it was disclosed that all the sub-committees successfully presented their reports with the exception of the Social Sector Sub-Committee.
No reason was given for the failure of the Social Sector Sub-Committee to present its report.
The spokespersons’ statement highlighted that the reports presented were, for the most part, satisfactory. However, they also revealed that there were requests for additional details on certain specific matters.
“At the 3rd Transition Team meeting held today, 27th December 2024, all the sub-committees, with the exception of the Social Sector, presented their reports. The reports were generally satisfactory, with a few requests made for additional information on specific issues,” the statement read.
To maintain the momentum of this transition process, the Co-Chairs of the Transition Team directed the relevant parties to continue their engagements.
The Transition Team was inaugurated on Wednesday, December 11, at a meeting between President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and President-elect John Dramani Mahama at the Jubilee House in Accra
