Two policewomen belonging to the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service have been interdicted after a video of them collecting GH¢10.00 from a driver went viral.
In the video sighted by InsiderGH.com, the two policewomen were seen collecting GH¢10 from a driver believed to have involved in a traffic offence.
One of them is heard in the video saying the GH¢5 the driver had earlier offered was not enough and that if he does not top-up, they may decide to impound the vehicle and take it to the Asokwa Police station.

However, after the video went viral, the Ghana Police Service has interdicted them to allow for a thorough investigations into the case in line with Police internal disciplinary procedures after which they will be prosecuted.
