An anonymous man has raised concerns after sending a video message to the Bank of Ghana, expressing his intention to rob the institution and issuing warnings to the Ghana Police and Soldiers.
The video, which quickly went viral on social media, showcases the man delivering audacious threats directly to the Bank of Ghana.
Despite his identity remaining a mystery, the individual fearlessly proclaims, “Tell the Ghana Police and the soldiers that I am coming to the Bank of Ghana, accompanied by my squad to carry out a robbery.”
Throughout the footage, the man exudes unwavering confidence as he delivers his menacing message.
Furthermore, he emphasizes the urgency of his warning, urging viewers to disseminate his message among the security services.
“We are bringing all our guns and ammunition to seize all the money they have gathered. So, share it with the soldiers; they must stay vigilant. I will not disclose the exact time of our arrival, but rest assured, we are targeting the Bank of Ghana.”
This alarming development comes in the wake of a series of recent robberies that have plagued the capital, Accra.
One such incident occurred on Thursday, June 22, 2023, when two unidentified individuals on a motorbike targeted a Star Oil filling station in Ablekuma, robbing a bullion van and tragically resulting in the death of a police officer accompanying the vehicle.
The authorities are taking this threat seriously and are actively investigating the matter to ensure the safety and security of the Bank of Ghana and its staff.
They have appealed to the public to come forward with any relevant information that could aid in apprehending the individual responsible for the threatening video message.
