A group of Ghanaians who embarked on an ambitious 10,000km road expedition fromAccra to Londonhave successfully reached their final destination.
Setting out from East Legon in Accra on July 23, 2023, the team journeyed through several African and European countries before finally arriving at Casablanca, London in the United Kingdom on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
Numerous videos shared on their official Facebook page showcased the team’s jubilant celebrations and highlights of their triumphant arrival at the Ashford Designer Outlet Mall. Fans cheered and showered them with praise during this momentous occasion.
Their genuine patriotism was evident as they engaged with fans upon arrival, proudly waving Ghanaian flags and sharing their experiences. Shouts of “We made it, we made it! Accra to London” resonated in the air, filled with excitement.
Amidst the celebratory atmosphere, some members of the group enjoyed the comfort of traditional ‘chalewotes’ (slippers) while savoring renowned Ghanaian beverages and engaging in conversations with friends and family.
It was previously reported that the lone female member, Nana Afua Serwaa Adusei, a mechanical engineer, accompanied the journey only as far as Morocco.
